Using the Willamette Heritage Center's extensive quilt collection, we'll travel through time exploring the stories and histories of quilts made in (and brought to) the Willamette Valley. We will then experiment with some popular quilting styles and techniques from the 1930s and 1940s, like hexagons, hand-piecing, applique, and embroidery to create a pillow slipcover, potholder, or placemat.
This is a perfect opportunity for kids to kick off their summer with a new skill, and is the last Fleece to Fiber class until September! The class costs $25, and pre-registration is required by June 10th at 5:00 pm.
